NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

 

The Bennington Board of Selectmen does hereby give Notice that there will be a Public Hearing held in compliance with RSA 31:95-b, Appropriation for Funds Made Available During the Year, at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2012. The topic of the Hearing will be the recent January 12, 2012 notice received from FEMA of their Hazard Mitigation Grant Award to the Town of Bennington for the Bible Hill Road Culvert Project.
 
Immediately following the aforementioned Public Hearing, the First Session of SB-2 will take place at 7:00 p.m. This First Session will consist of explanation, discussion, and debate of each Warrant Article.
 

Both Public Hearings will take place at Pierce School, 19 Main Street, Bennington, NH.
 

 



Winter Parking Ban

Effective November 1, 2011 until May 1, 2012, no vehicle shall be parked on any street in the Town of Bennington from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., nor marked on any street in such a manner as to impede snow removal. No person shall stop or cause to be stopped or park a vehicle in a manner which interferes with any snow removal operation regardless of date and time. Vehicles found to be in violation of the Parking Ordinance may receive a summons and/or may be towed by the Bennington Police Department (at the owner's expense). 


Town Clerk Registration Information

In accordance with RSA 261:148, the Town Clerks are now requiring all residents renewing a motor vehicle registration to bring their current certificate of registration or renewal notice when you register your vehicle. If you cannot locate your current registration or renewal notice, please contact the Town Clerk's Office during their hours - Tuesday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Thursday evenings from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
